"Waiting for a lucky break?"

Ingenium Productions intro (mpg|2.5MB)

Ingenium's main focus is in the realm of video production.

Although nothing can replace the endless words of a great photograph, or the infinite experiences of real life, video has the ability to provide an entertainment media as well as a venue for one's thoughts or views.

We're not there yet - we just like to entertain.

Below is a complete list of all the video projects Ingenium Productions has completed since the beginning. At times we have ventured into the serious, but for the time being, a more comedic approach has been used - because, for us, making people laugh is the greatest feeling in the world.

RAVEN: A MOVIE TRAILER [May 30, 2003]

Raven: A Movie Trailer (wmv|18.5MB)

It's out there, and it's after you.

Filmed at Whidbey Island camp, this short trailer-spoof was made as an introduction to the newest member of our group: Raven. Yes, he's made out of plastic, but with a beak strong enough to tear apart even the toughest of vehicles, he's not one to be trifled with. Initially, Dave and I set out to just create someone silly, but as we started making it, I felt that it should be as creepy as possible. Of course, you can only get so scary when you're dealing with a plastic bird, but we tried out best. This was actually my first attempt at filming shots typically used in thriller-type movies. I had a lot of fun doing it and trying some new things.

RILEY ARMSTRONG'S: STEP BACK [May 14, 2003]

Step Back (wmv|14.7MB)

A follow-up video to Kirby's dancing frenzy in "What I Found".

Unfortunately, this video was a long time in the making and went through many different phases.  After working on  "What I Found", I really wanted to give this video it's own style, different from it's predecessor. The result is individually moving pieces of video that fly in and out of frame.  In order to accomplish this, I began by manually moving each piece on it's own. As time went on, however, I found better and easier ways to achieve the same effect.  The toughest challenge in editing this video was trying to match the style I had envisioned in my eye with what was actually to appear on-screen. There were many times I felt completely discouraged, but I continued to force myself through it bit by bit until it began to take shape. A friend of mine came along at this point and encouraged me to continue on, which gave me the motivation I needed to touch it up to where I wanted it to be. Although I've spent so much time on it (and am getting sick of seeing it), I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Many thanks to Riley for his patience in waiting for this video.

JAKE AND DEXTER'S: POST-CAMP REVIEW [Mar 8, 2003]

Two intelligently-challenged individuals are on a mission to critique Anvil Island's Camp #5.

The director of Camp 5 has asked me to put something together to get everyone excited about camp this summer. It's actually not all that challenging since most people are pumped for camp the minute they step off the boat the previous year. Still, this was a fun way of sarcastically attacking the fun of camp.

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE [Sutherland - Mar 16, 2003]

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (wmv|10.5MB)

A Sunday school class decided to make their own WWTBAM show; this one based on friendship.

Richard (one of the Sunday school teachers) asked me if I would help in making a short video for their class which they would show to the rest of the church. Of course, I agreed, because making spoofs is one of my favorite things to do.

COMMERCIAL MUSIC [Feb 2, 2003]

The music industry as we know it has become more concerned with selling products than making good music.

This was another project I created to help a friend with her school project.
